BOOKING
How far in advance should I book my beauty services?
It's best to book your Beauty services as soon as possible; majority of brides are typically booking their beauty services 10-14 months in advance.
Peak Wedding/Grad Season - April through October - generally books the fastest; especially for those with wedding dates in spring/summer months as they tend to be the busiest and book VERY fast, usually upwards of 1 year in advance!!
Helpful note to Brides: July, August and September are the main months of the year for all Bridal vendors and at the highest demand - especially AUGUST - Most of us bridal vendors book at least 1 year in advance for these particular months!
May and June are equally as busy due to Graduation bookings throughout the entire lower mainland/Vancouver/Tri-city areas and we often see 10x the clientele demand during these two months!
All LONG WEEKEND DATES (Fridays and Mondays included) are extremely limited. There are only a few per year, and they see the heaviest volume for service requests. Venue locations and more, can book 1-2 years in advance for long weekend spots! So please don't hesitate to touch base regarding availability, as I often have extra artists working these weekends with me to keep up with the high demand!

How do I book and secure my wedding date/services?
To secure a date, a signed service contract is required with a 50% retainer due at the time of booking.
Dates will only be reserved when both a signed contract and retainer are received. All dates are booked on a first come, first serve basis only.

Do you have a minimum booking requirement?
Due to the very high demand for on-location services; during peak Bridal Season (April - Oct) all Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays hold a $600 service minimum to book, between our peak service hours of 5am to 4pm. Holidays, Long weekends, Out of area bookings and 'Specialty dates' (Examples: 2/20 or 20/20) hold a higher service minimum. Additional Travel fees/packages and/or children age 12 & under not included in minimums, but are always welcome for services! Please contact us for more information.
it's just me - "Bride only". I really like your work, can I still book you?
Absolutely! Pending our dates booked and timeline scheduling, selective "Bride only" packages/options are available.
We understand that some brides choose not to have bridal groups, and/or plan much smaller private events, that may not meet most companies booking minimums for on-site services - Especially during peak season! With that in mind, we have designed two popular options for our Bride-only bookings; to better accommodate many of our smaller events and elopements. *please contact us for more details*
*Please note, our Bride-only options are offered in 2 select time blocks: A Morning and Mid-Afternoon block.

SERVICES QUESTIONS
How long does Makeup and/or Hair services taKE?
You typically want to budget your wedding day timeline to allow for approximately 45 minutes, per person/per service. 1 Hour per service for the Bride. This can vary slightly depending on the elaborateness of the styles and looks being done that day as requested by each individual client and/or Bridal bookings direct needs (Ex. Long Hair lengths, added hair, extension or hair padding work, etc)
To avoid any timing issues please allow the minimum listed. Keeping in mind, your morning timelines should also include extra time set aside for you/group to get dressed, and based around your other vendor arrivals, such as photographer/your photo time as well.
For our Bridal clients booked with us, as part of your package, we do provide a timeline Mock up pertaining to your day, timeline needs and all your services booked!

Are you able to cover my blemishes/skin concerns?
Absolutely! I work with many client's that have skin concerns and/or sensitivities; Ranging from mild to more severe. This includes areas such as Acne, Rosacea, pigmentation issues and more. In the case of those with acne or scaring, do keep in mind that blemishes are raised skin, and as such raised skin you can't "cover". We can however take out the redness and look of irritation from these areas, but we can't "flatten" it. Makeup can offer many wonderful ways to 'hide' things; but in the end they do not 'disappear' as sadly our brushes are not magic wands ;)
Because of this - We work primarily with traditional makeup applications, to allow for a far more personalized and custom approach for each individual client we work with; based on their specific needs, coloring and varying degrees of skin types/concerns. Allowing for a more precision application process, tailored just for them!

What if someone wants Makeup/Hair services last minute - but isn't booked? Can you accommodate them?
Surprisingly common on the day of the wedding; this often happens after another client sees someone who has just received services, that may have initially opted out.
Within all our Bridal bookings, we handle and schedule services and start times - per the number of clients booked in as outlined in a client's service contract.
However, time permitting we will gladly do their Makeup and/or hair, at the end - as long as it does not interfere with timeline needs, or the original members of bridal party that has already booked in for services with us. Any "add-ons" will be done at artists discretion, based on availability of the day, and will be bound by the same requirements and pricing as those listed on the contract for services.

Large Bridal Party!!! Some of my ladies only want Makeup OR Hair done...which do you recommend?
We completely understand the needs of those that have chosen to have larger bridal groups. If you must choose between hair OR makeup when deciding to reserve beauty services for your wedding day, we highly recommend choosing professional makeup service.
In the case that my brides have a larger party, I prefer to design her entire hair and makeup look when possible.
With the majority of images being "face" forward throughout the long day, it's rare that you'll see the 'back of the head' should a bridesmaids, not have the best hair skills for a DIY, or a random bobby pin showing....
However, with today's high end photos, HD, and video needs. There are many things to consider, that can ruin a great image, and after all, most brides are paying handsomely for professional photo services. Your pictures are the only thing you get back in the end! So this is always of high importance for us, and for our clients.
From select colors that do not showcase well, wrong foundation colors (aka. the 'orange face') muddy bronzers, heavy blacks, smeared liners and more...we see it all. Not to mention the mis-match of looks, that can often result; with some fading into the background, while others are overpowering the brides look. Sadly, while what some may do for a night out might look nice, it may not translate the same for photos later, nor offer the longevity needed to last through 10hrs+ on a hot summer day! So we strongly encourage seeking professional level Makeup options for your group, should your bridal party be split on services.

I need to be ready Early...
We are very familiar with the needs of many of our cultural wedding clients and those of our brides doing Fusion style weddings; often requiring beauty services very early in the morning, with start times for them and their groups outside of standard business hours. We do offer services at any time of day for our bridal clients! An early morning fee applies to services requiring an arrival/start time prior to 7am. Please contact us for more details.
what about touch-ups? Will I need them? What options are available?
How each bride "wears" throughout a day, is uniquely her own. Based on multiple factors, including their overall skin type, to their diet, and even the products you use daily.
We work with each bride to ensure all products used for them, are the best fit to aid in longevity throughout the day. General maintenance however such as Lip touch ups from eating/drinking, or the occasional "powder" is fairly common for most people.
Our Brides are also provided a personal touch up kit as well. Additional touch up kits for your bridal group are available for purchase.
We offer a number of add on options available for our brides with their packages.
Including hourly options after your service bookings and deluxe "touch up kits".
One of our most popular booked options.... many bride's we work with also prefer to book our "reception change-over" services!
This service directly catering to our brides that may wish for one "look" for their ceremony and picture time, but are looking to switch it up for their reception portion! Reception changes/pricing can vary based on secondary location needs/added travel, and overall timeline needs for each wedding, please contact us for more details.
